Holiday Minis Already? You bet your tinsel!

Updated: Sep 9

Ho, Ho, Hold on a minute - I know what you are thinking—Melanie, are you serious? It's already time to book holiday sessions??? The short answer is YES! Here’s why: come October 1st, I get approximately 9 million emails from frantic mamas asking if I can squeeze them into my schedule for a quick family photoshoot. Typically, my answer is, “I’m so sorry, I can’t unfortunately.” Booking early makes a massive difference in getting you on my books before I’m completely booked out. Until I can successfully clone myself to be in multiple spots at multiple times, you’ll need to book now to ensure your family's memories are locked in this year!

Why Book Early?

I have three locations to offer this year, spread across three different months. I know that coordinating around kids' sports can be tricky. If needed, I’ll open up an evening option so that you don’t miss out on capturing your yearly family memories! Check under each photo for available times. If you already know it’s an issue for you, head over to my contact page and send me what day works best for you. Let’s see if I can make it happen!

The Holiday Photo Experience

As the holiday season approaches, exhausted moms everywhere prepare for the yearly family photo session. It’s that charming tradition of capturing your family's happiness while managing toddler tantrums and persuading your partner that matching sweaters are non-negotiable. Let’s face it—those hectic moments are worthwhile when you have a professional photographer behind the camera. Here are three reasons why investing in a good photographer is absolutely worth it:

1. Stress-Free Experience

An experienced photographer can manage the chaos of family interactions. I transform potential mishaps into candid moments that showcase your family's genuine spirit. Guess what? I’m that experienced photographer with a degree in education! Bring on the kiddos and all the crazy they could possibly produce—I can handle it, I promise!

2. Quality Over Quantity

Say goodbye to blurry selfies and awkward angles! A professional will provide stunning, high-quality images that you’ll proudly display on your walls, not just share on social media for temporary likes. I know it’s the digital age, and yes, a cell phone photo could work absolutely. BUT if we think beyond “getting this done” and “creating an heirloom to be passed down to the next generation,” don’t you want something more than a grainy cell phone photo?

3. Time-Saving Magic

Instead of spending hours trying to capture the perfect shot on your phone, let the expert handle it. This allows you to focus on what truly matters—like ensuring everyone is still wearing their pants! You think this is a joke, but toddlers are quick, and it’s happened! So go ahead, invest in those annual photos—you’ll be grateful when you’re not just scrolling through countless blurry pictures next holiday season. P.S. I have been called a photo ninja on more than one occasion. These 15-minute sessions are literally all I need to get you the pictures you WANT and the ones you never knew you wanted!
