How I Fell in Love with Photography

I’ve loved photography since I was a little girl, and turning it into my career is something I don’t take for granted. What started as a creative outlet grew into a passion for storytelling — capturing moments that feel real and meaningful.

Today, what keeps me inspired is knowing these photos will matter years from now. Seniors graduate. Families grow. Life changes quickly. Photography lets us pause time, just for a moment.

My Approach to Natural, Timeless Photos

I believe the best photos feel like you. Not stiff. Not overly posed. Not trendy in a way that won’t age well. Those blurry photos are cool for some ... but not all of your images.

I focus on genuine moments — laughter, connection, quiet in-between interactions — because those are the images that hold meaning long after the session is over.

The Season of Life I’m In

I’m a mom to two daughters - one in high school and one in elementary. The high schooler now has me counting down summers until she's released into the world, so I get it. I'm trying to savor every change and moment and record as much as possible. It goes fast mamas! I understand how fast these seasons pass and how meaningful it is to capture them while you’re living them.

As a person who has lost both her parents, most recently my Mom to Alzheimer's I truly cherish photographing families - especially extended family sessions. Get everyone together while you can - I guarantee you won't.regret.it.
